Free Outdoor Activities in Colorado
National Parks — Rocky Mountain, Great Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde & Black Canyon
Colorado is home to four stunning national parks, and you can visit all of them for free on select days this summer:
- Memorial Day — May 25
- Flag Day — June 14
- Independence Day Weekend — July 3–5
- National Park Service's 110th Birthday — August 25
Colorado State Parks All 42 Colorado state parks offer free admission on Colorado Day, August 1. It's the perfect opportunity to explore a new park or revisit a favorite!
Denver Botanic Gardens (including Chatfield Farms in Littleton!)

Free Indoor Activities in Colorado
Denver Museum of Nature & Science Visit for free on June 19 and August 24 — great for curious kids and adults alike!
Denver Art Museum Free admission on June 9, July 14, and August 1. And a reminder: kids 18 and under are always free at the Denver Art Museum, year-round!
Children's Museum of Denver Joy Park is free every third Friday evening, May through September, from 4:30–8 p.m. A perfect end to the week for little ones!
